Welcome to WoodWorks!

As the Great Southern region’s largest showcase of fine woodwork, South Coast WoodWorks Gallery is a must-see destination for those visiting the area.

WoodWorks is recognised as one of the finest woodwork galleries in Australia and features unique works by nationally and internationally renowned local craftspeople.

We are now located in two locations, the most recent being our Albany city gallery situated conveniently on the main retail strip on York Street.

Come visit our new Albany City Gallery!

For those who know Albany, you may remember the old “Nonna’s” restaurant, a local landmark for more than 50 years. The 120 year old building has been transformed by the WoodWorks team into a stunning new gallery space.

It has been a grueling 4 months with a 7 days a week schedule for the WoodWorks team while we restored dignity to the magnificent old building with new plaster, floors, lighting, doors and much more.

Enjoy some photographs of the renovations here! We hope to see you soon!

Interior space full of wonderful creations by local craftspeople.

(Above and below) Our main gallery is 35km outside Albany on the way to Denmark and Walpole. Built in 2000, it is a distinctive building with a range of interior spaces purpose built for displaying the unique works of our local makers. Dean Malcolm’s studio and workshop has been operating on this site since 1995. Come and relax in this charming rural setting surrounded by garden, trees and birds!
